The Last Episode - for a while, anyway.
Wednesday Apr 16, 2025
Wednesday Apr 16, 2025
Dave hosts a Zoom group call which will feature, hopefully, a lot of familiar faces from the past 15+ years of the DITCOW/Sandwich Corner podcast. We'll chat about everything from Rory's historic Masters win the other day to the years of our conversations about sports and other stuff. Then we'll bring down the curtain on our small but mighty podcast which gave us memories, laughs and more.
Saying goodbye is hard, but if we're going to end it, let's end it with a big party. Thank you all so much for tuning in all these years. The Corner may make an occasional return to break particularly big sports stories, but this episode marks the end of its original run. What a run it's been!

Chris in Syracuse, a.k.a. Get Your Own Show joins Dave as we recap the first weekend of the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. It had a lot of blowouts, but there were also some nice surprises and great battles throughout the field. UConn made a big bid for the Sweet Sixteen only to come up just short to the very tough Florida. We had Duke continuing its dominance with easy wins over their two opponents and BYU pulls together two solid wins to make the Sweet Sixteen. Plus we cover what's to come in the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight rounds of the Big Dance. The Corner continues its own road to our series finale and it'll be great to hear from GYOS once more before it's all said and done.

Wednesday Jul 17, 2024

Our good friend Parcells joins us to recap what have been really exciting international soccer competitions in both Europe and the U.S.
First, we'll recap a thrilling, spectacular Euro 2024 tournament that was exciting until the very end with a great England/Spain final where the Spaniards went ahead in the final minutes. Next, we'll recap the more infamous Copa America back in the U.S. where the event was tarnished by terrible fields, poor security, awful performances by the USMNT and Mexico, and more, but still full of great storylines like Canada's Cinderella run to the Semifinals, Lionel Messi's presumed final game with Argentina that ended in a Copa championship, and more.
We can also take a few moments to chat about what's to come for international soccer in the next few months, plus a pretty cool friendly between Manchester United and Arsenal at SoFi Stadium later in the month.
