Chris and Dave return for this week's NBA Report where the final seconds are the theme of the week. Nemanja Bjelica shocks the Rockets with a buzzer-beating three pointer in Houston. The Thunder escape the jaws of defeat with a great baseball pass from Steven Adams to Dennis Schroeder to force OT and win the game afterward. The Rockets launch an official protest from an earlier game in which the officials presumably missed a made basket near the end which could have won the game. It was truly a wild series of weeks in the NBA and we'll recap all of it, cover the "war on home uniforms", look at the surging Mavericks, Lakers, and Bucks, plus much more on our final NBA show of the calendar year, but just the start of our 2020 season of NBA coverage.

In College, can Utah take care of business against Oregon for the Pac 12 title and earn a spot in the College Football Playoff? Many playoff scenarios will be in the works as we recap what happened so far and set the scene for the Conference Championships. Oklahoma also gets a big litmus test in its rematch vs Baylor for the Big 12 title. As mentioned, we'll look at the NFL as well, check out the Bills and their great defense, who dominated the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. We look ahead as well to what could be an exciting playoff race, with several divisions still up for grabs. We'll recap the Ravens exciting win over the 49ers in a tight battle, along with the Seahawks shaky but effective victory against the Vikings on Monday night. Many playoff scenarios for both sports as we keep the contest rolling. Ron still maintains a comfortable lead with our pro and college picks, but John and Andy could be closing the gap in these final two weeks. Tuesday Nov 26, 2019

On this week's DITCOW "NBA Report", Chris and Dave run down some of the hottest peformances of the week. First we look at the NBA's proposed schedule changes, a mid-season tournament, re-seeding in the playoffs, and a play in tournament at the end of the regular season. Later we check on Luka Doncic, Western Conference Player of the Week, who averaged 37 points a game over the last seven days. Spencer Dinwiddie gets the Player of the Week honor for the East, and meanwhile, Giannis gets his best performance of the season in an exciting win over the Utah Jazz on Monday night. Giannis goes for 50 points with some crucial shots near the end of the Bucks' thriller in Milwaukee. Later, we look at teams on the rebound: the surging Pelicans, the suddenly interesting Wizards, and even the Bucks themselves who overcame a slow start with an eight game winning streak.
On this edition of the "report," we added a bonus College Football segment to supplement the football audience. Chris and Dave run down the authenticity of Ohio State's standing at Number 1 atop the CFP rankings, plus a look at whether LSU can beat Georgia in the forthcoming SEC Championship game. We also speculate as to whether Michigan could indeed pull the big upset in Ann Arbor over said Ohio State this weekend.

Podcast: NBA Report - Kawhi's Load of Management, Surprise Starts (11-12-19)
Tuesday Nov 12, 2019
Tuesday Nov 12, 2019

DITCOW presents our first NBA Report of the 2019-20 Season with Chris in Georgia. This week, we share some perspective on Kawhi Leonard's recent "load management" in key national television games vs the Bucks and Jazz, and how the Clippers still came out ahead in the games thereafter. Is the Load Management part of a trend or is it a unique situation for Kawhi. Chris and Dave explain why there might be a little of both realms in play - it isn't a huge trend, but Kawhi has engaged in it perhaps more than others. Later, we look at some remarkable surprise starts for seemingly bad teams in the NBA and cover why the league as a whole is much more competitive than past years. Then, a recap of this year's rookie class after three weeks of play, and a recap of second year player Trae Young's fantastic start for the Hawks on this action-packed NBA Report.
