Ari in Philadelphia and Gerry in Piscataway, the baseball crew, return to chat about the slow offseason so far in MLB. The two biggest names, Bryce Harper currently of the Nationals, and Manny Machado who last played with the Dodgers, have yet to sign with a team for 2019. We discuss the lack of activity, why owners are getting so cheap, and how the practice of holding out for free agents is hurting the sport. Later, we cover moves that actually took place, including the Dodgers trade of Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp to the Reds and the subsequent signing of OF A.J. Pollock. The Yankees add some depth with 2B D.J. LeMahieu and RP Adam Ottavino, plus others, and the Mets... Ari will break down what the Mets did. Featured in this special are clips from Dave and "Coach" Andrew's pilot shows from way back in 2005! Later we roll out the top 5 episodes of 2009. From a hilarious Lakers roundtable between Dave and his old buddies Bricio and Jacob to some off topic discussions about hamburgers with Dave and Coach which foreshadow future Random Questions shows with Kevin on the Cape. Also a flashback to when Dave contemplated the move from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles. The special closes with a clip of Andy in Seattle's debut podcast with other odds and ends in between.

This week we look at some of the unexpectedly hot teams such as the Brooklyn Nets, the suddenly surging San Antonio Spurs, the Indiana Pacers, and more teams making noise in the NBA. The Lakers tanked after losing LeBron James to injury for several games, the Rockets took back off to go back into the playoff chase, and the Clippers fell off after their hot start. John, Ron, Andy, and Dave return for our Football Picks Finale! This week we cover another very exciting week of NFL action, with the Chiefs narrowly avoiding a loss and the Patriots getting shocked by the Dolphins on the last play. The Steelers can't get out of their own way, the Vikings look lost on offense, and the Packers' new look coaching staff makes a splash. From College Football we get Ron and Andy's Bowl previews including their favorite bowls and "bowls they wouldn't watch in their back yard." Lastly we get to the picks. We lead off with the Week 15 NFL picks and continue later with our College Bowl picks of the season. To close up the year, we offer some Christmas/Hanukkah holiday thoughts and say farwell to the 2018 DITCOW Podcast season. Last show of 2018 until we resume in January. Happy Holidays!
