Ari in Philadelphia joins Dave to recap a dominant performance by the Red Sox over the Dodgers in a five game series win. The Red Sox get outstanding performances by David Price, Nathan Eovaldi, and a bunch of unsung heroes at the plate to overpower the Dodgers. The Dodgers battled in every game, but we look at how bad clutch hitting, horrible in game management, and other disappointments undermined their bid for their first championship since 1988.
Later we look at what's to come for both franchises. A look at impending free agents on either side, plus Dave runs down why the Dodgers are closer to that elusive championship than everybody thinks. The guys debunk the narrative of the Red Sox human/savvy instinct, a look at the Mets new unorthodox pick for GM, where it went wrong for Dave Roberts, Kershaw's future, and other news from baseball.

Gerry in Piscataway and Ari in Philadelphia join Dave to preview this year's World Series between the Dodgers and Red Sox. First, we cover the Red Sox unlikely blowout five game ALCS win over the Astros. Next, we cover a very strange but exciting and dramatic Dodgers seven game series win over the Brewers. Fidz (Ari) digs into the improbable performances by the Red Sox bullpen and David Price. Dave will break down the redeeming moments for Cody Bellinger, Yasiel Puig, and Clayton Kershaw. Likewise, the crew looks at the Wade Miley one batter "start" in Game 5 and other questionable decisions by manager Craig Counsell. What made regular season beasts like Christian Yelich and Jesus Aguilar struggle in the postseason? From the ALCS, were the Astros injuries to Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve too much to overcome? How did the Red Sox defeat the Astros' impressive rotation including Justin Verlander in Game 5? Later, we look ahead to the World Series with our previews and predictions. Monster upsets in college football and more wackiness in the NFL. The Football Picks contest moves into Week 4 as Ron, John, Andy, and Dave try to rebound from a tough Week 3. Tom in NJ joins Andy and Dave as this week's guest picker with the other picking via text. We look at missed kicks in NFL action last Sunday, another near-win for the Browns, a great Vikings/Packers game that ends on a bad call and a missed field goal in overtime, and more. The Jaguars shut down the Patriots, the Chiefs survive a shootout with the Steelers led by Patrick Mahomes' six touchdowns, and in College Football, LSU upsets Auburn, SDSU upsets Arizona St., and BYU shocks Wisconsin on their home field.
