2013 NFL Preview; Random Questions (08-28-13)

Andrew Jacobsen and Jacob Rosales join Dave for the 2013 NFL Preview.  We'll look at all the big teams in the NFL and some of the big favorites like the Broncos, Packers, Bengals,  49ers, Seahawks, and all the others around the league.   Then, in Hour 2, Kevin on the Cape joins us for "Random Questions."

This week: A two hour random questions podcast, where we'll cover all the topics of the week, with an emphasis on Fantasy Football, MLB's pennant races, Yasiel Puig,  the Yankees on the "rise" and much more.  Kevin on the Cape and possible others will join us for this two hour Random Questions podcast.  We'll also take your Fantasy Football questions via phone if you have any!

2013 College Football Preview; NCAA; Random Q's (08-14-13)

Ron in NJ and John in CT join Dave for the big 2013 College Football Preview.   As we count down to a very exciting football season, we'll look at all the big FBS conferences, the chances of Defending Champion Alabama to repeat, a look at the SEC's dominance, seeking out contenders from the rest of the FBS like Ohio State, Oregon, and all the others.   Who will be the Heisman Hopefuls this year?   Will there be a surprise team?  Who makes the run to the non-at-large BCS Bowl bid?  Ron and John will run it all down with Dave PLUS Conference Predictions, Bowl Predictions, and much more.  In Hr. 2, Random Questions continue with Kevin on the Cape where we look at the upstart teams in MLB among other topics.

PGA Championship Golf Recap w/ John and Mike (08-12-13)

John in CT and Mike in North NJ join Dave for a recap of the PGA Championship.  Jason Dufner wins his first ever major at Oak Hill Country Club.  Was it a great performance or simply a "least worst" effort by Dufner?   John and Mike have the answers PLUS, a look at the tournament in a nutshell, the big performers,  Furyk's near miss, Tiger's struggles, a look to the FedEx Cup Playoffs, and much more.  Special 1 Hour Podcast.

Johnny-Gate; Dodger Road Warriors; Random Q's (08-07-13)

Two big topics this week:  Johnny Manziel's ongoing investigation on his illegal autograph sesssion with Autograph brokers.  Does this prompt Texas A&M to suspend Manziel for several games?  We'll see the how and why.  PLUS, the Dodgers completed a 15 game road win streak -- what were the keys to their turnaround and have they peaked too soon?  "Mike's Mistress" was scheduled to join Dave to converse about all of the world in sports but eventually it gave way to a bonus cameo by "A Couple Quickies."  THEN, in Hour 2, Kevin on the Cape re-joins Dave for "Random Questions" as we count down to the start of football season.

The Nothing Episode; MLB Trades; Random Q's (07-31-13)

This week: We have no topic.  We have no guests.  We have no commercials.  We *do* have Random Questions with Kevin on the Cape in Hour 2, and we'll break down MLB's Trade Deadline in our second hour.   First hour is completely wide open.   Open Phones... the "dreaded" open phones? 

Open Championship Recap; Dodgers; Random Q's (07-24-13)

This week:  John in CT and Mike in North NJ join Dave for the Open Championship recap.  Phil Mickelson shoots a phenomenal 66 in his final round at Muirfield in Scotland.  We'll look at his tremendous career win, plus a look at the rest of the field and how the course played last weekend.   Then a look at the days ahead for Pro Golf PLUS the near miss for Lee Westwood and his first major bid along with Tiger Wood's disappointing final round.  THEN, the Dodgers enter the second half on a roll -- with nine straight road wins, what's the secret to their success?  Then, in hour 2, Kevin on the Cape aka Junkie joins Dave for "Random Questions" where we enter the "Dog Days" in summer along with all the usual conversation.

All Star Game Recap; Summer; Random Q's (07-17-13)

Light agenda this week in the City.  We'll cover a mostly uneventful All Star Game from NY, Mariano's final All Star Appearance, and more from baseball with "Mike's Mistress" in the Bay Area and Gerry in Piscataway.   In Hour 2, "Random Questions" with Kevin on the Cape where we count down to the dog days of summer.

MLB All Star Game Preview; D. Howard; Random Q's (07-10-13)

This week, Los Angeles breathes a sigh of relief as Former Lakers C Dwight Howard finds his calling in Houston.  Dave looks at what's next for the Lakers and "is it worth it?"  Then, Lou in Hoboken and Brian in the City join Dave to preview this year's MLB All Star Game in New York.  We also look at MLB so far: who's hot, who's not, and the Dodgers' slow climb to contention in the NL West.  PLUS:  this week's "Random Questions" with Kevin on the Cape in Hour 2.

NBA Free Agency; Pirates; Blue Jays (07-02-13)

This week:  Dave's First Show from Santa Monica.  A look at the new digs by the ocean, moving, and a new era in Dave's podcast and lifestyle.   Also on the show, a few updates on the NBA's offseason, including Doc Rivers' arrival in LA as the Clippers' new head coach, a massive trade between the Celtics and Nets sending Garnett and Pierce to the Nets, and the ongoing soap opera of "Where will Dwight Howard be next season?"   PLUS, some news on the Pirates and Blue Jays, two teams that played hot baseball in June, and much more.  We'll have a potential Random Questions w/ Tom in NJ and Andy in Seattle in Hour 2.
