Super Bowl LVI Recap, Golf Update with John, Andy, Ron, and Mike (02-23-2022)

The panel are back to recap a thrilling Super Bowl LVI with Dave as the Rams fight back to beat the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.  We'll chat about Aaron Donald's amazing performance, key injuries, particularly the unfortunate torn ACL for Rams WR Odell Beckham Jr., and the big go-ahead TD grab from Rams WR Cooper Kupp.   Did the Bengals blow their big shot or are they set for many future playoff runs with their young team?  Later we cover some offseason news including Brian Flores' hire by the Steelers, and a new partnership between the NFL and XFL.   In the second half of our show, Mike in North NJ joins in to discuss the failed Saudi League that looked to be on track to compete against the PGA Tour, only to flop before it starts.  What went wrong?  Plus: a recap of the Genesis Invitational at Riviera with Joaquin Niemann's enormous win as a young 23 year old. 

Super Week: The Sandwich Show - Return of the Justin and Evelyn (Originally aired on Twitch 02-06-2022)

As part of "Super Week," we have another replay of our other project, Dave's Twitch show "The Sandwich Show" that he hosts under the name "Davy is Eating a Sandwich."  This encore features our good friends Justin and Evelyn who are very entertaining piano duelers based out of Seattle.   Davy (Dave) catches up with their latest success on Twitch, including a night on the Twitch front page, a 1 Year Streamaversary show that saw massive amounts of hype train tips, donations, and gift subs, and a great trip to Hawaii.  You all will get to know some dazzling performers who are currently at the top of their game - and they're funny!   It's a fun two hours with two very interesting people including our Twitch version of Random Questions.  Portions of this show were edited to reduce the downtime early in the show before Justin and Evelyn joined via a Twitch raid.  Originally streamed on Twitch on February 6, 2022.

As part of "Super Week", I have a bonus podcast episode of our Twitch show "The Sandwich Show."  This show originally aired on Twitch on February 8th, 2022.  My guest was Brettington Frothingslosh and we ranked the best Super Bowl Foods on our "Big Game Tier List Show."   I hope you enjoy this encore of a new project I started on Twitch where we feature content creators from all over the world.   There was much debate and great discussion of fantastic foods all show long.

Super Week: Super Bowl LVI Preview with Ron, John, Gerry, and Andy (02-09-2022)

We're back for our Super Bowl LVI Preview as part of Super Week 2022!  This year we're featuring content both on DITCOW and on our Twitch show, "The Sandwich Show."  On this episode, Ron in NJ, John in CT, Gerry Will, and Dave break down a very interesting matchup between a highly touted Rams team and a team of rising stars in the Bengals. 

There's a lot of public interest in the Bengals with Joe Burrow after a series of remarkable wins: first a thriller against the Raiders, then another walk-off thriller in Tennessee, and lastly the improbable three score comeback against the Chiefs in Kansas City.  It's been quite a ride, but is there one more upset in them?   

The Rams are where they were supposed to be, but the road to get there was bumpy and dangerous.  They almost blew a huge lead in Tampa Bay against the Bucs, they also were struggling to score early against the 49ers in the NFC Championship game.  Both times they prevailed, and the fourth quarter comeback win for LA was remarkable, led by their defense which played tough on their home field.

Now the two teams meet in a rare moment of a Super Bowl team playing in its home stadium.  The Rams and their still-new So Fi stadium are a de-facto home team in this matchup, and the panel will discuss whether the familiar digs will be a factor in the game.  We make our predictions, look at the odds, and then hear from Andy via voicemail for his thoughts on the game.

2021 NFL Conference Championship Previews (01-26-2022)

Andy, John, and Dave are back to cover the NFL Conference Championships with with a Super Bowl berth on the line in both the AFC and the NFC.  First we recap possibly the greatest Divisional Round of all time with all four games settled by one possession and a lot of chaos along the way.  The Bengals upset the Titans in the Music City, the 49ers miraculously come back on the Packers in Lambeau after a blocked punt eats up Green Bay, the Rams somehow win after trying to give away their big lead to the Bucs, and the Chiefs go overtime to outlast the Bills in an all-time classic!

Later it's on to the Conference Championship Previews.   In the AFC, Will the Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs have any gas left for the visiting upstart Bengals led by Joe Burrow?  Then, in the NFC, can the Rams finally break their curse against the Shannahan-era 49ers in Inglewood's SoFi Stadium?  We'll give you all the predictions, show you the odds and much more on this exciting playoff preview show.

2021 NFL Divisional Round Preview (01-20-2022)

Andy and John return to break down this year's NFL Divisional Round with Dave.  First we recap a very disappointing lopsided Wild Card weekend with blowout wins by favorites in nearly every game, then we look ahead to some close matchups.   The upstart Bengals have a chance to upset the veteran laden Titans with Derrick Henry returning.   The Packers will try to beat the 49ers for the first time in the Rodgers era.   The talented, high flying Bills will try to avenge the also talented and high flying Chiefs at Arrowhead and the Rams will try to pull another upset over Brady and the defending-champion Bucs.   Who will win all of these matchups?  Join the panel for our predictions and much more!

2021 NFL Wild Card Preview with John in CT (01-12-2022)

John in CT is back to break down the upcoming 2021 NFL Playoffs!   We'll first recap the Week 18 action in the NFL plus the CFP Championship win for Georgia, then we'll break down each of the games in the NFL's Wild Card Round.  The panel will share some predictions from the NFL's first round and look ahead to the scenarios for the upper seeded teams.  Plus a sprinkle of conversation about the NFL coaching firings and more.

Football Picks 2021: Week 19, CFP Championship Preview (01-05-2022)

Ron, John, Andy, and Dave return for one final Football Picks show this season.  We recap a fantastic Bowl Season in College Football, set up the National Championship game between Georgia and Alabama, and break down the myriad of NFL Playoff scenarios.  Plus we look at the last few weeks in the NFL, remember the passing of both John Madden and Dan Reeves, and tease the NFL Playoff Preview a week from now.

Football Picks 2021: Week 16, Bowl Previews, Christmastime in the City (12-15-2021)

It's our College Bowl Preview episode as we dig into the NFL action and the NCAA Bowls simultaneously.  The Panel and Dave set up the bowl season and preview the playoff on New Year's Eve.

Football Picks 2021: Week 14 (12-01-2021)

The panel is back for Week 14 in the Picks contest and we recap a whole lot of chaos in College Football.  Michigan pulled a big upset over Ohio State in "The Game," there was a near upset of Alabama by Auburn that soured late, and UNC/NC State  had a miracle comeback win for the Wolfpack.  Plus we look at the NFL that was in Week 12, including a Thanksgiving Thriller between the Raiders and Cowboys, a sloppy but exciting Bucs win over the Colts, and a bizarre ugly SNF game between the Browns and Ravens.  Later we go to the picks and the panel try to cut into John's lead in the standings.  We also set up the College Conference Championship games this coming weekend and the massive potential playoff implications between Georgia, Alabama, Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Oklahoma St., Michigan, and others.
